Alwaleed brings over 20 years of experience and a proven track record in Private Equity, building teams and new platforms, sourcing and executing deals, managing portfolio companies, and consulting.

He has invested and managed over $1 billion as a private equity manager, and has worked with, and advised, some of the leading institutions in the region. Alwaleed was previously a co-founder and CIO of Aflaj Capital.

He served as a Senior Vice President at Abu Dhabi Investment Company, where he helped restructure their private equity portfolio and launch a new buyout fund. He supervised portfolio companies and sourced and executed deals including the largest MENA PE buyout in 2008.

​

Prior to joining ADIC, Alwaleed was an Executive Vice President at Amwal Alkhaleej. Joining the firm at inception, he set up and managed their Dubai office. In addition to his role as head of Dubai office, sourcing and managing transaction, he lead the firm’s Public Relations effort.

​

In his early career, Alwaleed worked with Abraaj Capital, where he served as a Vice President, and with the HAK Group, where he was an Investment Manager.

 

Alwaleed has always excelled as a consultant in Saudi Arabia and UAE. His advisory work has focused on M&A, valuation, equity and debt structuring, investment & portfolio management, and strategy.
