Simon Chen is a seasoned professional in the financial services sector with over 25 years of experience, including more than 15 years in debt and equity investment. His multi-faceted career spans roles as an entrepreneur, investor, corporate financier and lawyer with a focus in energy, real estate, finance and technology. In addition to his role at Lowndes Partners, Simon has been a private investor since December 2008, with investments spanning diverse industries and markets. Prior to founding the firm, he previously served as a CF30 customer controlled function at an FCA-regulated investment firm. Simon started his career as a barrister and litigator, handling company, commercial and common law matters. He then transitioned into senior corporate lawyer roles at international law firms, Dentons and Clyde & Co.

His extensive experience in private and public markets, M&A, restructurings and general commercial/corporate matters, coupled with his entrepreneurial ventures, positions him as a leader with a unique and comprehensive understanding of the financial and business landscape.
Simon's educational background includes a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Bristol and called to the Bar in England and Wales. Simon is also a dual citizen of the United Kingdom and the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
